Although the members of BTS are in the military, with Jin being discharged in a matter of days, it doesn’t mean that they don’t want ARMYs to celebrate their anniversary. Like every year, the end of May saw the announcement of BTS’s FESTA with a look at the special surprises the group has planned.

On June 4, Weverse made a huge announcement for 2024 FESTA merchandise that fans could buy, including t-shirts, hoodies, phone cases, and a bucket hate.

One special feature of the merchandise was the ability of ARMYs to customize the pieces, including emblems for BTS, FESTA, and individual members.

Some of the items also came with a special gift that were an assortment of patches similar to the modifications you could make on the items on Weverse.

Yet, when the post was shared by Weverse, ARMYs couldn’t hide their anger at the design of the merchandise.

FESTA is a huge time of year for fans to celebrate the anniversary of BTS, and ARMYs think HYBE is being lazy with the designs that have no thought or real link to the group. In particular, with a boycott against HYBE ongoing due to the links to Zionism, many thought it was easy to not buy the merchandise considering the quality.

HYBE has been at the center of multiple controversies regarding the release of merchandise for its artists, and you can read more below.
