Hyeri‘s past comments seemingly hinting at her struggling relationship is going viral.
On November 13, News1 reported that Hyeri and her long-time boyfriend, Ryu Jun Yeol, had gone their separate ways.
Fans were understandably disappointed by the news since the couple had been a fan favorite. The news would later be confirmed by Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol’s agencies after they released a short statement corroborating earlier reports.

Amid this, past comments that Hyeri had made in a variety show have resurfaced. During one segment, Hyeri, (G)I-DLE‘s Miyeon, LE SSERAFIM‘s Chaewon, and LeeJung revealed how many messages they received in a day.
In the segment, Miyeon revealed that she had 157 unread messages, while Kim Chaewon and LeeJung each revealed they had 183 and 114 unread messages, respectively.
Hyeri then shocked everyone when she revealed that there were days when she didn’t receive any messages. Many are stating that because the two were still dating at the time, Hyeri had hinted at her struggling relationship.
The particular segment also brings credence to follow-up reports stating that Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol had broken up due to each focusing on their busy careers.
