Hyun Bin Admits Son Ye Jin Sacrificed Her Work To Prioritize Their Son

Actor Hyun Bin recently discussed the professional sacrifices his wife, actress Son Ye Jin, made to fulfill her motherhood duties.

Hyun Bin recently appeared on the popular variety show Yoo Quiz On The Block, marking his first TV show appearance in over a decade. Hosts Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho took the opportunity to have him dish out interesting stories about his married life, which they have kept very private so far.

When the hosts mentioned a support truck sent to Son Ye Jin’s filming site under their son’s name, Hyun Bin confirmed that it was he who sent it.

He then candidly talked about Son’s career hiatus, remarking that it was her first project after their marriage, which happened in 2022. Hyun Bin sincerely reflected on her professional compromises, wondering “How badly she must have wanted to act during that time.”

He added, “She must have wanted it even more, watching me film Harbin,” acknowledging that she held it in patiently to put her motherhood duties first. The actor confessed that it made him feel sorry to some extent.

But with her new project, a film called Can’t Help It, directed by Park Chan Wook, Son has finally made her comeback to acting. Hyun Bin expressed his joy at watching his wife back in her element, saying, “Seeing how excited she is for her project now, I feel even happier.”

He mentioned that while he was filming Harbin, Son Ye Jin sensed how much pressure he was under. She made sure to reassure him, patting him on the back and saying, “You’ve worked hard,” after it was over. The actor then lovingly said he wanted to return the favor.
