HyunA to embark on full North American tour in 2017

HyunA will be going on tour as a solo artist in North America for the first time ever in early 2017.

Concert promoter KPOPME announced that they would be bringing a female act to North America, dropping hints throughout several hours for fans to guess the artist’s identity. And after three hints, the identity has been narrowed down to Cube Entertainment‘s solo artist HyunA.

KPOPME started off the teasers with the hint that the artist is indeed a solo artist, and had actually made her original debut as part of a girl group.

To help narrow down the choices, a poll was posted featuring four of the most popular solo acts in K-Pop. Among the artists were JessicaHyunAGirls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon, and f(x)‘s Amber.

A few hours later, KPOPME issued one final hint for fans, clarifying that her original group has now disbanded.

With both Girls’ Generation and f(x) still being active groups, the last remaining candidate for the tour is HyunA. HyunA’s original group 4MINUTE effectively disbanded after the four other members of the group failed to remove their contracts with Cube Entertainment.

As HyunA’s currently hosting a series of solo tours in Asia, a North American tour later in the first half of 2017 definitely sounds like a strong possibility. While KPOPME has been mostly associated with promoting concerts in Canada, they also clarified that the tour will encompass not only Canada, but the United States as well. The company has also added listings for jobs and volunteer opportunities in multiple popular cities in the United States, including Chicago and Seattle. While there has been no official confirmation of the artists’s identity yet, all indications suggest that HyunA will be the star of her first North American solo tour in 2017.

While the original announcement indicated that the tour will be making stops in Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Montreal, and Toronto, KPOPME also tweeted that more stops will also be added to meet the high demand.
