Idol-Actress Sustains Facial Fractures, Suspends All Activities

Her agency updated fans about her condition.

Park Gyuri, actress and a member of the iconic second-generation girl group KARA, recently sustained multiple serious injuries on her face, according to her agency.

On July 13, KST, Big Boss Entertainment notified fans through a social media post that Gyuri had suffered facial fractures during a personal schedule and would need surgeries to fix her condition.

Recently, actress Park Gyuri sustained fractures to her cheekbone and orbital bone during a personal schedule. After visiting the hospital, she went through a thorough examination.

Consequently, taking the location of the injuries into account, medical specialists have advised that surgery is necessary, and it will take about 4-5 weeks for her to recover from the surgery.

The company also added that, keeping Gyuri’s health in mind, all her scheduled activities for the month of July have been put on hold. Lastly, Big Boss Entertainment ensured fans that they would prioritize the KARA member’s recovery over anything else.

Meanwhile, KARA is scheduled to make a comeback on July 24 with the single “I Do, I Do.” Following that, they are slated to hold solo concerts in Tokyo and Osaka in August.
