4th Generation K-Pop Idol Goes Viral For Changing His Age 3 Times
FANTASY BOYS‘ member K-Soul recently went viral on social media when it was realized that he had changed his name 3 times over the course of his career.
K-Soul’s career is extensive, as he was active in China before he made his move in South Korea. It was alleged that he entered college in 2014. According to netizens’ calculations, his age should be 1996 to match his entry into college. Later on, fans realized that he had listed his birth year as 1997 when he competed on the Chinese survival program Super Idol. When he was teased as a contestant for FANTASY BOYS, fans found that his birthday was listed as October 19, 1998. This came from his time competing in the Chinese survival program We Are Young.
This was listed by multiple sources for the show.
After his debut with the final lineup for FANTASY BOYS, his profile birthday was suddenly changed to October 19, 2000. This puts him at 24-years-old in 2024. Fans wondered if this was to match with the other members in the group. Even with his birth year at 2000, K-Soul is the oldest member. The youngest member is Kaedan, born in 2009.
A post about this soon went viral with over 70,000 views on X.

Changing one’s age is no new trick in K-Pop. SISTAR‘s Soyou, Bora, and Hyolyn all reduced their ages by a year when they debuted through Starship Entertainment. Famously, WJSN‘s members had fake birthdays to match their astrology concept as well.
