Well-Known “I-LAND 2” Contestant Gains Attention For Her Emotional Profile Description
Mnet are back with another reality show to debut a group. In the past, the station has had shows like Produce 101, Girl’s Planet 999, and more recently Boys Planet.
The newest show set to debut is I-Land 2, which is a follow-on from the first series that saw the debut of ENHYPEN. This time, the members will debut under WAKEONE as the company’s first regular girl group, as Kep1er is temporary.
Since the announcement, more information has been revealed, including the star-studded producers, including BIGBANG‘s Taeyang, dancers Monica and Lee Jung, and producers 24 and VVN.
Recently, the contestants have been revealed, and one of the contestants fans recognize is Bang Jeemin.
Fans will recognize Jeemin as she was one of the most popular contestants on JTBC’s show R U Next?, which is the show that led to the creation of ILLIT. During the show, Jeemin showcased her talent, and it was shocking when she didn’t make the debuting lineup.
Netizens were shocked to see her profile ahead of the show.
On March 22, the profiles were released for the contestants, which had the basic information on each participant, but also a small bio and hashtags chosen by the contestant.
When it came to Jeemin, netizens got very emotional as she touched upon her past reality show experience, writing, “Given another chance on stage, I’ll do my best to debut.” The hashtags also linked to her past, and along with #DebutRetry, and more importantly, #FormerHYBETrainee, cementing that she is no longer under HYBE.
When the profile was shared, netizens couldn’t help but share their sympathy. Although it was funny that she had chosen the bio and hashtags herself, it spurred netizens on to finally help Jeemin debut after missing out.
