“I’ll Turn You Into F*cking Trash, B*tch!” Popular Korean YouTuber’s Phone Call Recording With His Ex-Girlfriend Goes Public And Shocks Netizens
A private phone conversation between a famous mukbang content creator and his ex-girlfriend was released—it revealed a completely different side of him.
On June 16, a video titled “YouTuber Woongei’s Ex-Girlfriend Original Phone Call Recording Revealed! His Two Faces Give Us Goosebumps” was uploaded on the YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho.
The person in question, Woongei, also known as Lee Byung Woong, is a famous AfreecaTV streamer and YouTuber who makes mukbang content.
The video revealed a 4-minute phone call between Woongei and his ex-girlfriend, referred to as A. The phone call recording was provided by the law firm representing A. In the conversation, Woong expressed his desire to get back together with A; he spoke gently with an apologetic tone.
I want to sincerely talk to you about my feelings. Like you said, of course, you could be someone amazing. You’re a really cool girl and any guy can’t help but like you. You’re kind of a good girl. I’ve never had such a good girl by my side before. But as time went on, I still can’t get over you and forget you.

Confessing to A that he can’t eat because he is “so depressed,” Woongei tried to persuade his ex-girlfriend to get back together, but she simply asked, “But why did you hit the person you loved so much?” Woongei downplayed the situation by saying that he had just gently nudged her.

His ex-girlfriend did not find “nudging” an appropriate term to describe what he did to her and expressed her doubt asking, “Can you really say that you just nudged me?” But his response focused on how she may have been hurt even if he didn’t intend to hurt her rather than admitting to the assault.
However, a few moments later, Woongei admitted to hitting A when she reminded him that they didn’t break up because she didn’t like him but because of his actions that he never apologized for.

Whereas Woongei was apologetic and sad in the first call, his demeanor changed 180 degrees in the second recording. In another recorded phone call with A, Woongei asked for A’s location. When she refused to give it to him, he got angry and asked in a threatening tone, “You really think you won’t see me anymore?” The ex-girlfriend did not budge and sternly told him not to contact her anymore. To this, Woongei replied with expletives.

This phone call recording shocked netizens who had just watched Woongei’s “explanation” video from June 15 (one day before the phone recording was released) on his YouTube channel. In the video, he claimed he lived with his ex-girlfriend for eight months, then listed all the things his ex-girlfriend did wrong; for example, that she had a relationship with another man who financially sponsored her, that she lied about being seven years older than him, etc.
A’s legal representatives refused Woongei’s claims, sharing A never lived with Woongei nor received financial sponsors from another man. A’s legal team denied many other things that Woongei claimed happened in his video.
In the video, Woongei bowed his head and apologized but never mentioned anything about his assault; instead, he pointed fingers at A. Therefore, netizens were even more shocked to hear the phone call because of how he spoke to A and his confession to hitting her. In his YouTube videos, Woongei was usually kind and treated adults respectfully, so he was known for being a well-mannered young man with a “nice” image.
After hearing Woongei confesses to hitting A and cursing at her, many netizens felt deceived and lied to. They felt like he was pretending to be nice behind cameras, which caused them to get goosebumps at his two faces.
