ILLIT’s Creative Director Uploads Cryptic Instagram Post During ADOR Min Hee Jin’s Press Conference

ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin and HYBE are currently engaged in a feud. On April 25, 2024, Min Hee Jin held a press conference to discuss the allegations made against her.

In the midst of it all, ILLIT’s creative director, Heo Se Ryun, posted a cryptic photo on her Instagram story. It was of a middle finger, wrapped prettily in ribbons and pink.

While the aesthetic was very much balletcore and girlycore, just like her concept for ILLIT, it also seemed to contain a hidden message. A middle finger is a globally recognized sign to represent a curse word, “f*ck.”

Netizens have turned to criticizing her for her actions.

  • But why did you take their choreography to use? Try to explain that.

  • But if the main party involved, NewJeans’ choreography, got angry about it, then it can’t be considered an homage. Homage means to pay respect, so why would be be angry if it was one?
