Though ILLIT debuted just yesterday with the album SUPER REAL ME and title track “Magnetic”, they’re already off to a promising start in the K-Pop industry!

There was a lot of anticipation for the group’s debut after the members were chosen from survival show R U Next?, and previews for “Magnetic” started to spread on social media (especially TikTok) even before the full song was released. And so much build up to the song’s release seems to have played a huge role in boosting the group’s ranking on music charts quickly after their debut!

“Magnetic” managed to enter the Global Spotify chart just one day after it was released, making ILLIT the first K-Pop girl group to accomplish such a feat.

The girl group that comes closest to having their debut song end up on the Global Spotify chart the fastest is LE SSERAFIM, whose debut song “FEARLESS” ranked on day two. IVE comes next with “Eleven” charting on day five; next is NewJeans with “Attention” on day eleven; Kep1er is next with “WA DA DA” charting on day fourteen; and NMIXX is tied with Kep1er with their debut song “O.O”.
