International Fans Incensed Over NCT Renjun’s Apology

NCT’s Renjun recently apologized over his phone number controversy. He recently publicized someone’s phone number on Dear U. Bubble, mistakening them for a sasaeng. The owner of the number was plagued by calls, messages and harassment from his fans. They claim that they accidentally called the number just once, believing it to be their friend’s number. Renjun issued an apology, admitting to the mistake.

“I would like to apologize to the person who was affected by my foolish behavior. I’ve always wanted to give good energy through my music and performances, but I think my judgment was clouded, and I think I made a mistake. To the person who was affected by my behavior, I am so sincerely sorry. The victim is receiving damage because of my behavior. Please stop calling them. I am reflecting on my actions, and I’ll be careful not to do this again. I would like to apologize to everyone who was hurt by my actions.”

While Korean netizens criticized him for his lacklustre apology, wishing him to apologize directly to the victim, international fans are absolutely incensed at the matter. They blame the company for forcing him to apologize.

They also call out the company for being quick to issue an apology towards the owner of the number, but failing to protect Renjun against sasaengs all this while.
