Yet, when the show aired, netizens noticed the difference in reactions to the star between Korean and international media outlets, with many believing Korean outlets were either being negative or “ignoring” his role due to his past.

Recently, Squid Game star Yang Dong Geun sat down with Australian actor Andy Trieu to chat about the series.

As Yang Dong Geun is a rapper and actor, it wasn’t surprising that he was asked about the other stars in the show who have had music careers. Unsurprisingly, Dong Geun started by speaking about his “friend” who plays Thanos, referring to T.O.P.

While he started speaking, someone from the staff seemingly caught his attention, and the caption appeared, seemingly implying he couldn’t speak about T.O.P.

In particular, Dong Geun quickly moved on and started speaking about Im Siwan, who also had a career in music as part of ZE:A. The actor also seemingly kept looking at the staff to see if he was okay with what he was saying.

The comments thanked the Australian star for releasing the video, sharing their thoughts about T.O.P’s mistreatment.
