IOI’s Comeback Reunion Reportedly Delayed Again
IOI caused a frenzy when they confirmed their reunion earlier this year. Studio Blu confirmed in June that the group would be making an October comeback with 9 members, as Jeon Somi and Yoo Yeonjung were busy with their own promotions at the time.
They then delayed the reunion until December in hopes for a full 11-member comeback. Insiders revealed:
IOI’s comeback has been confirmed for December. The decision came about after taking into consideration the members’ schedules, the completed quality of their comeback songs and other production preparations, etc. A specific date has yet to be set, but it will likely be in early December.
The group, however, seems to have hit another roadblock. The reunion is reportedly not progressing smoothly due to the Produce voting manipulation controversy and Choi Yoojung‘s break due to health problems.
They are further delaying the music video shoot as they have yet to pick a title track. As it is their reunion, IOI is hoping to carefully choose a song that they can all agree on.
For now, the reunion date is unsure and may even be pushed back to 2020.
We haven’t confirmed the schedule since we postponed the comeback in October. [It is now] under discussion.
