IST Entertainment Exposes THE BOYZ New Agency’s Alleged Lies Over Trademark Rights
IST Entertainment has challenged One Hundred‘s (THE BOYZ‘s new agency) claims regarding the ongoing trademark rights dispute. In a recent statement, the group’s soon-to-be former company accuses their new agency of lying and reporting misinformation about the negotiations and their requests.
According to IST Entertainment, they had offered the trademark rights for THE BOYZ to all 11 members at no cost, ensuring they could continue using the name for group, unit, or individual activities. The agency claims this offer had already been communicated to the members.
IST also revealed they had taken steps to ease the group’s transition, including agreeing to end the contract early for one member who still had six months remaining on their exclusive agreement. They stated this decision was made to support the member’s new career path without restrictions.
The agency explained that their intention to provide the trademark rights directly to the members rather than One Hundred was driven by their desire to prioritize the artists and their fans, allowing for a smooth continuation of activities. IST also strongly denied allegations that they demanded excessive fees or made unreasonable terms.
Here is the company’s full statement:
“Hello,
This is IST Entertainment.
We would like to address the recent misunderstandings and incorrect information regarding the trademark rights of THE BOYZ.
Contrary to reports, we had decided to grant all 11 members of THE BOYZ full rights to use the trademark free of charge. This decision was communicated to the members, and we intended to allow them to use the trademark for any activities they agreed upon, including unit or solo projects.
Additionally, for a member with approximately six months left on their exclusive contract, we agreed to terminate the contract early to support their new journey, and this decision was also conveyed to the member.
Our intention to provide trademark rights directly to the members rather than their new agency was based on our commitment to THE BOYZ’s continued success and a seamless connection with their fans.
Reports that we demanded excessive trademark fees or made unreasonable requests to the new agency are entirely false. We remained open to discussions and made standard proposals to ensure a smooth handover.
Although our time with THE BOYZ is ending, we will do everything in our power to support their future activities and wish them every success. Thank you.”
