ITZY Captivates Boston With Their Endless Energy During 1st World Tour “CHECKMATE”
As part of their world tour ITZY THE 1ST WORLD TOUR “CHECKMATE,” ITZY graced the stage in Boston, MA for New England MIDZY on Thursday, November 10.
Performing at the new MGM Music Hall at Fenway that opened only three months ago, fans eagerly waited under the LED screens featuring the members’ faces as they were funneled into the venue.
Despite having a seating capacity of 5,000 attendees, there was a sense of intimacy in the venue. ITZY shared they were able to see every MIDZY’s face and all of the things they were doing — Holding funny signs, doing hand hearts, waving their light ring, and more.
Shortly after the exciting intro VCR that showed the members bringing color into a black and white world, they kick off the show with the high energy single “(Mafia) In The Morning” followed by “Sorry Not Sorry” and “SHOOT!”
After ITZY greeted the crowd to introduce themselves and connect with fans, the audience roared for both B-sides and their hit singles like “ICY,” “WANNABE,” “Dalla Dalla,” and “Sneakers.”

Throughout the show, each member got their moment in the spotlight with a cover performance that showed their individual skills and styles. Ryujin revealed she was excited to prepare a rap stage with “Boss Bitch” by Doja Cat because it has an easy chorus to sing along with so the whole crowd can join in on the fun.
This was followed by Yuna‘s rendition of “Maniac” by Conan Gray that she began by riding a bike a across stage and throwing a bouquet of flowers. Lia then took fans down a romantic road by singing Taylor Swift’s “Red” with a backdrop of red rose petals floating behind her.
Lastly, there were performances from Yeji who sang “Hotter Than Hell” by Dua Lipa and Chaeryeong who turned up the heat with her sexy performance of “Bloodline” by Ariana Grande. Surprisingly, Chaeryeong revealed she was nervous before the stage, but fans couldn’t detect an ounce of nerves in her confident performance showing off her dance skills!
They played the remainder of the setlist, including highly-anticipated songs like “Loco” and “Not Shy” before heading off stage. While waiting for ITZY’s return for the encore performance, MIDZY were treated to an interactive experience that encouraged fans to dance and sing along — and even get a chance to be featured on the big screen!
