ITZY Chaeryeong’s English Has Improved Thanks To This One Habit She Picked Up From Rapper Lee Young Ji
ITZY‘s Chaeryeong was the fifth guest for rapper Lee Young Ji‘s My Alcohol Diary series, and her natural beauty, cuteness, and charm burst forth throughout the entire filming.
After several rounds of boisterous exchanges, Chaeryeong opened up to Young Ji and told her that Young Ji had changed her life after the last time they met.
When they last met, Chaeryeong had asked why Young Ji was so good at English, to which Young Ji replied that she was just spitting out words she knew since English wasn’t her strong suit.
Since then, Chaeryeong has been doing the same, mixing her Korean with English, and how she does so is equally adorable and hilarious.
Young Ji immediately joked and said she wasn’t sure if that was a good habit Chaeryeong picked up from her.
However, Chaeryeong’s English teacher really liked this new habit, and Chaeryeong herself has clearly felt her English-speaking skills improve thanks to it.
Chaeryeong’s habit before was that she wouldn’t speak unless she knew she could convey her thoughts in English perfectly. It’s a struggle many who learn new languages also face since it’s natural to want to speak correctly in the language you’re learning.
With Young Ji’s help, Chaeryeong realized that confidence and willingness to speak in English, even when she wasn’t completely fluent, was what would help her improve more. And from many recent interviews, now that ITZY is promoting their latest album, Checkmate, it’s clear that Chaeryeong’s English is much stronger.
