JYP’s New Girl Group ITZY’s “DALLA DALLA” Achieves Record Views In K-Pop History
With one day left until their official debut, JYP‘s new girl group, ITZY, has already achieved record views on their “DALLA DALLA” music video.
ITZY released the music video to their title track “DALLA DALLA” one day prior to their official debut date at midnight on February 11 and within just 12 hours, their music video surpassed 5 million views and is already nearing 10 million views at 9.4 million views as of 6 pm February 11 (KST). With the previous record for a debut music video being 4,559,202 views in the first 24 hours by IZ*ONE, ITZY hit this mark after just 11 hours.
ITZY, whose name refers to the concept of “having it all”, embodies a “don’t care” attitude with their new song including lyrics such as “I love myself”, “I don’t care what others think” and “I’m just the way I am.”
With the release of their group name and members, they have been climbing to the top of the search trends long before their debut and even reached No.1 on the real-time search of a Japanese website. They have also been trending all over the world on Twitter with domestic and global fans alike looking forward to their long-awaited debut.
