ITZY Reveals They Practiced Until Their Bodies Were Shaking, Just To Serve Us With “Not Shy”
The girls of ITZY recently made a stellar comeback with “Not Shy”, a hard-hitting, catchy track with the positive message of going for what you want.
On the 18th of August, the girls went on SBS Power FM’s Choi Hwajung’s Power Time radio to promote their new mini album and comeback.
ITZY was “Not Shy” that day, as they shared about their comeback preparation process and just how much effort and time they put into perfecting the performance. The girls shared that although their previous track, “WANNABE” had a very challenging dance, “Not Shy” was about 2.5 times as hard for them compared to “WANNABE”.
Yeji shared that normally, when preparing for a comeback, they work on three factors – vocals, dance and live. In order for their bodies to get used to the challenging song, they started out practicing for the larger part of the day. Yeji mentioned that they practiced between 7 to 8 hours a day, just on “Not Shy” alone.
Yuna shared that it was so tough on them at first, when they were getting used to it, their bodies shook after each practice. Yeji continued that they couldn’t walk well the next day due to muscle ache, but dancing again helped them to relieve the ache. The irony of it made the entire studio laugh.
