During the interview, Lee Yong Joo mentioned that many of the JYP Entertainment artists he had met seemed mentally and physically healthy. He asked Ryujin and Itzy, “Do you also have a special management method at JYP?

Kim Min Soo asked them about the character education trainees receive at JYP. Ryujin explained the system.

We receive education about once every two weeks. Trainees have a penalty system in their curriculum. We are graded on singing, dancing, and character simultaneously.

She then admitted that her trainee score was generally in the middle.

I wasn’t exceptionally talented. I was always in the middle. My personality score wasn’t that good because I was a person who expressed my opinions well.

Ryujin and Lia both revealed they were often penalized for eating in the practice, which is against the rules.

I always thought, ‘I might get cut this month’ because I received a lot of penalty points.

When asked which ITZY member had the highest score during their trainee days, Ryujin mentioned their leader, Yeji.

For a moment, Lia recalled Ryujin being a top-tier trainee, but Ryujin said she was always in the lower or middle tier. Lia said, “We’re colleagues then,” making all of them laugh.

Despite getting penalty points for eating in the practice room, Ryujin and Lia’s talents and character were top-tier, which eventually led them to debut as ITZY.
