IU And Byeon Woo Seok Reportedly Both Drop Out Of Upcoming K-Drama — Agencies Respond

They didn’t agree on something.

IU and Byeon Woo Seok have both reportedly decided to drop out of their upcoming K-Drama 21st Century Prince’s Wife.

Back in December, it was announced IU and Byeon Woo Seok would star in the K-Drama.

However, according to an exclusive report from TV Daily, both IU and Byeon Woo Seok have expressed their intentions to drop out of the main cast of the show due to conflicts of opinion regarding the broadcasting.

From my understanding, their decision was made due to the inability of the cast and the production team to coordinate the broadcast of the K-Drama. MBC is negotiating with Disney+ while the actors want Netflix.

MBC had previously stated they planned for the K-Drama to be released in the first half of 2025, but in their latest update, changed it to hoping for a release within 2025. Byeon Woo Seok’s agency has since denied the reports.

Byeon Woo Seok is not dropping out of the K-Drama. He will appear as scheduled.

IU’s agency has also denied the reports.

The reports of IU dropping out of the K-Drama are false. She is preparing well for it.
