IU Covers SHINee Jonghyun's "Before Our Spring" In Honor Of His Third Anniversary

Solo artist IU recently held her home concert titled Homebody Signal2 where she sang a number of covers for her fans. Her enchanting voice captivated everyone watching, but there was one song in particular that really captured the attention of her viewers.

For the last song of her concert, IU covered SHINee Jonghyun‘s “Before Our Spring” and unsurprisingly so, it touched everyone’s hearts. The melancholy melody and sad lyrics paired well with IU’s voice as she sang with her emotions. December 18, 2020 marks the 3rd anniversary of the SHINee member’s death, breaking the hearts of fans everywhere. With IU’s tribute to Jonghyun, however, it seems that she provided a small moment of healing to his fans.
