IU Donates ₩500 Million KRW In The Name Of UAENA To Celebrate Her 28th Birthday
IU has donated ₩500 million KRW (about $444,000 USD) to various charities in the name of her fans to celebrate her 28th birthday.
According to her agency EDAM Entertainment, IU split the ₩500 million KRW (about $444,000 USD) donation to various charities, including the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Yeouldol, a support group for children with rare diseases, the Korean Unwed Mothers’ Families Association, the Korea Senior Support Center, the Purme Foundation, and the Children’s Welfare Association.

IU has been constantly lauded as a donation fairy, donating to numerous causes and charitable organizations since her debut. Back in March, she donated ₩100 million KRW (about $88,800 USD) to support single parent families and hearing impaired individuals in conjunction with the release of her 5th album LILAC. Currently, IU is filming for her upcoming movie Broker.
