IU Helped Ease The Burden For Grandparents Struggling To Raise Their Grandchildren This Holiday Season
Who needs Santa Claus when the world has IU?
Singer IU once again spearheaded a charitable act. On December 23, the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation revealed that “IU donated 100 million won (approximately $85,900 USD) to use for children who are being raised by their grandparents.”
IU has been doing good and regularly making donations since 2015 through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. She is leading the way with providing for the financially vulnerable, such as single parents and grandparents who are raising their grandchildren.
Last year, she supported the tuition and dormitory fees for university students who were experiencing financial difficulty.
Meanwhile, IU is currently doing a tour of Asia, with her next stop in Bangkok on December 24.
