IU To Receive The Tax Payer Presidential Award, But Will Not Attend After Self-Quarantining Herself
The National Tax Service of Korea released their list of honest citizens who have been diligent with their tax reports. Among the list was IU who has been named to receive the Presidential Award.
IU may be one of the highest earning artists in Korea, but she made sure that all of her earnings were properly reported and that her taxes were paid diligently.
Alongside IU, actor Lee Seo Jin was also named for the Presidential Award.
Although it is tradition for the awards to be handed directly at a ceremony held on Taxpayer’s Day, the event will most likely be highly reduced in list of attendees or ultimately canceled due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19.
Regardless of the event’s potential cancelation, IU has decided to self-quarantine herself after her recent visit to Milan, Italy. Although she is reportedly not showing any symptoms, she will not be attending any events or schedules for the time being.
IU and Lee Seo Jin may not be able to receive it directly at the ceremony but will be delivered to the proper address. Congratulations to IU and Lee Seo Jin on their new awards!
