IU’s Staff Member Hid Under Her Dress During An Entire Live Performance
On November 26, KST, IU’s YouTube channel released a vlog from the day of her HEREH World Tour, showing the behind-the-scenes chaos of the concert.
After IU wrapped up the last show on September 22 in Seoul, she walked back to her green room and clicked pictures with her staff members. Before everyone left the room, the camera person prompted IU’s stylist, Hyesun, to spill the beans on an important on-stage moment that went widely unnoticed by everyone.
While IU was going up on the stage to perform the song “Last Fantasy,” she was donned in a heavily embellished and voluminous gown. While she climbed onto the lift, Hyesun was right behind her, holding the train, and she got up on the lift with her to ensure it didn’t get caught.
But Hyesun couldn’t get off the lift on time and ended up going on stage, hidden behind the silhouette of the dress.
In order to save the performance, Hyesun quickly hid herself under IU’s gown and stayed there for the entire six minutes of the performance.
When she recounted the story in the green room, IU was left gobsmacked. She had zero clue that her stylist was hiding right under her dress during a live performance! She even felt a tugging on the fabric while Hyesun was trying to conceal herself effectively, but she mistook it for the dress being stuck somewhere.
Thanks to her stylist’s quick thinking and incredible camouflaging skills, IU’s final concert of the HEREH World Tour was wrapped up without any hiccups.
