IVE’s Jang Wonyoung Reenacts The “Cool” Moment When She Caught A Falling Member On Stage
Last year, a clip of Jang Wonyoung of IVE catching a member from falling on stage circulated the internet.

On April 10, all six members of IVE joined JaeJae on her show MMTG where they reacted to this video of An Yujin tripping over her foot while performing “After Like” at the 2022 Genie Music Awards—but Wonyoung caught her because the next dance move required her and Yujin to hold hands.
Both of them expressed how surprised they were, and Yujin described what happened from her point of view.
I still remember I was very surprised. My foot got caught directly on the platform that if I didn’t have my hands, I would have fallen. So because I was scared, I looked at Wonyoung, and she looked at me so coolly like— (Nods).
The whole group then clapped and cheered for “cool” Wonyoung for rescuing Yujin and nodding nonchalantly. Wonyoung, shy at first, then stood up to receive the praise.
Yujin and Wonyoung then reenacted the moment—and Wonyoung made sure to do her reassuring nod.
Wonyoung claimed that Yujin looked so terrified that she felt she had to nod to reassure her and let her know everything was okay. The other members had no idea this happened—it was a special moment for the two members.
What wasn’t shown in MMTG, however, is that Wonyoung checked to see if Yujin was okay after the performance as well. Netizens noticed that after the performance, Wonyoung gently patted Yujin’s back while asking if she was okay.

Wonyoung and Yujin are both professionals and great sports, and it’s good to see the members supporting one another—literally!
