IVE Pays Heartfelt Tribute To Seven-Year-Old Fan Who Passed Away In An Accident
In a tragic incident on October 30, KST, an elementary school student, “A,” passed away after a garbage truck hit her while she was walking home from school. The truck unexpectedly reversed and mounted the sidewalk of an apartment complex and struck the seven-year-old. The incident occurred in the Buk-gu district of Gwangju.
The bereaved family held her memorial on October 31. Her uncle shared a bittersweet anecdote about his niece’s love for IVE. He recalled that “A” was an ardent collector of IVE’s photocards, and the two even had plans to go watch the group live at a concert. But he tearfully regretted, “It breaks my heart that I couldn’t keep that promise.”
The story made its way to IVE, and the members reached out through a heartfelt gesture. The group sent a condolence wreath to their little fan’s memorial site with a message praying for her to be at peace. The child’s mother, moved by this gesture, thanked the group, saying, “Although we are overwhelmed with grief, we are grateful.”
Meanwhile, the accident is still under police probe. The truck driver, a man in his 40s, has been detained. Ongoing investigations are looking into whether any traffic rules were violated in this incident.
We pray that the victim’s soul rests in peace.
