Well, it seems like the idol is even a pro at giving dating advice!
On April 13 (KST), IVE surprised fans when Kim Jong Kook released a video with the members on his YouTube channel “GYM JONG KOOK.” Of course, considering the channel title, there was some working out, and the members impressed Jong Kook with strength and technique.
Yet, Jong Kook also sat and chatted with the members about a lot of things… including dating.
During the video, Kim Jong Kook seemingly wanted some advice about dating and wanted the opinions of the members. The celebrity asked IVE, “If a man had a date, but he couldn’t exercise and so is feeling down. What would you do?”
Without even missing a beat, Wonyoung immediately answered, “I think I’d tell him, ‘Then go workout for an hour and come back.'”
The idol then continued to say that Kim Jong Kook should tell the person he’s dating to benefit both of them, as the other person would also be impacted by the mood. Wonyoung added that she would say, “If you are going to be this down while you’re with me, go work out for an hour and then come back.”
Considering how young Jang Wonyoung is, it wasn’t surprising that Kim Jong Kook was equally as impressed with the response as he explained, “You’re really cool.”
A show’s production crew member then asked, “But what if after that he says he needs to go play soccer?” To which Jang Wonyoung and the other members answered while shaking their heads, “In that case, that would be a bit too much.”
The members then continued to give him advice, and they all shared pointers for the star.
In the end, Wonyoung gave Kim Jong Kook some solid advice, adding that if he wanted to date someone, it should be someone who understands his love for exercising and would be okay even if he did that on a date.
When the video was shared, one netizen shared how funny it was that such young idols were so serious about giving Kim Jong Kook dating advice.
