IVE’s Yujin Accidentally Sends An “NSFW” Message To Fans
IVE’s Yujin has made some jaws drop recently, but not with her usual, dynamic performances. This time, it was an unexpected message to her fans.
Like many other groups, IVE is also active on the fan communication app Bubble, where they can send and receive messages from subscribers. Though the IVE singer has been busy promoting her group’s new songs “HEYA” and “Accendio” recently, she took some time out on May 17, KST, to hang out with fans.
She greeted fans with an enthusiastic “Hello,” but what followed was a masterclass on “Translations doing idols dirty at a royal scale.” While Yujin wrote in Korean about how satisfied she was with her music show performance that day, the auto-translation interpreted her message as not only something completely unrelated but also next-level NSFW.
The original translation of her third message was actually, “I did a great job at the music show today as well.”
Needless to say, fans were caught completely off-guard by this mistranslation, which prompted chaotic reactions.

While IVE fans cannot help calling out Bubble to fix its translation tool, this wouldn’t be the first time a fan communication app’s mistranslation has embarrassed an idol. For starters, there is an entire list for Weverse that alone could convince any K-Pop fan to start campaigning for companies to get rid of the auto-translator.
