IZ*ONE’s Official TikTok Account Gets Hacked
IZ*ONE‘s official TikTok has been hacked.
The hacker even changed the account name and URL address. So, originally you could find the K-Pop girl group’s account with the handle @officializone_. The hacker since changed it to @overthinkeroriginal.
The hacker changed the display name to deep Channel, and the bio reads “JamooTV Fanpage.”
The bio is in reference to the German YouTube channel JamooTv. Originally, the bio read, “My name is Jamo, i live in Germany.” So, could it be a fan or even the YouTuber himself potentially creating content for his channel?
Besides changing the account’s display name and handle, the hacker in question privated all IZ*ONE’s videos before posting their own. So, the first TikTok video uploaded by the hacker was a short and moody video showcasing a POV of driving. The text read, “Rules#1 stop overthinking, she will always love you.”
Immediately, WIZ*ONE (IZ*ONE’s fandom) took to the comment section, begging the hacker to return the account to its rightful owner. Considering IZ*ONE is now disbanded, many fans are taking it extra hard because it feels like now their memories have been taken away too. So, they asked if at least their original videos could be restored.
Instead, the hacker only continued. A couple of hours later, the hacker uploaded a video again, but it was incredibly offensive this time. They posted a meme of two trash cans rolling down a hill in a storm with “La Vie en Rose” playing, captioned, “WTF?! IZONE on tour again!”
IZ*ONE fans were not having it. So, they started roasting the hacker in the comment section.
The latest upload by the hacker was simply solid black and encouraged curious netizens to check the Instagram link in the bio for information. Again, the hacker used IZ*ONE’s hit song “La Vie en Rose” as sound.
Yet, at first glance, there seemed to be not much more information. It appeared that the Instagram account linked was an IZ*ONE fan page!
You wouldn’t get more information until clicking the “Instagram Stories.” The first couple of updates gave little to no updates regarding the issue. Instead, it seemed just to be playing with IZ*ONE’s fans.
Finally, the user claimed that they had more information. They claimed they had not hacked the account but instead “pulled” it.
They also claimed that they were in the process of restoring it and “unlocking” the account after TikTok allegedly banned them.
However, the user’s interface was in German (we know the hacker is German) and the last update was a Boomerang video of them at a casino.
Additionally, IZ*ONE’s original TikTok handle was taken. Its username reads, “I ♥ bp.” This could be about another K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK.
