“Hello, this is Jang Shin Young. Have you all been doing well?It’s been a while since I’ve updated you all, and I feel bad for greeting you after bad news. Firstly, I apologize for disappointing everyone who has supported and loved our family. I’d also like to apologize to those harmed by this incident. We’ve received so much more support and love than we deserve, and I feel bad for not returning those warm and big hearts from everyone. I’ve been spending my days as if in a dark tunnel without knowing how time has passed.
One day, I was closing my eyes, and it felt so nice to feel the silence and peace I hadn’t felt in such a long time. I wished that time would stop like this forever. But, through the silence, my child called quietly, ‘Mom.’ It was at that moment that I came to my senses.
I realized then that I couldn’t just sit down. I had to protect my children. I still have my precious life to live and my children, who are even more precious. I have to protect them. My children might have been having the hardest time. As a parent, I am so sorry for hurting them and making them experience something they didn’t have to go through.
I spent much time talking to my husband, and we blamed each other and reflected countless times. We went through a painful time that’s hard to put into words, but we are trying to live as a family again only for the sake of our children.
I am very cautious, but I would like to ask that you refrain from criticizing my husband too harshly. I am worried that my children might see them. I hope you understand. I’ve received so much support from people through this incident. Those warm words have helped me get back up. I truly thank everyone who sent me messages. I hope next time I can greet you all with something good. Thank you for reading this long post.”
