Jang Wonyoung’s Legal Fight Against Controversial YouTuber Sojang Takes Grueling Turn
Controversial YouTuber Sojang has made a desperate plea in her trial against IVE‘s Jang Wonyoung.
On January 24, it was reported that Sojang filed an injunction against the courts that ruled against the controversial YouTuber and ordered her to pay Jang Wonyoung ₩100 million KRW (about $74,700 USD) in compensation.

According to reports on January 23, Sojang filed an injunction to stop the execution of the court’s ruling. The reports state that the move signals Sojang’s intentions of fighting the ruling.
In most cases, if a defendant files an appeal against a ruling within 2 weeks, the court’s decision is not executed; however, if the court judges a provisional execution is warranted, the plaintiff can still enforce the ruling. Sojang’s move is seen as an attempt to stop this and shows the YouTuber may fight the court’s ruling.
Meanwhile, Jang Wonyoung won the praise of K-Pop fans all over the world when a court sided with the idol in a landmark case against Sojang. Sojang is one of the most controversial figures among K-Pop fandoms and is known for producing defamatory content, misinformation, and malicious rumors against idols.
