Model and actress Jang Yoon Ju revealed that she was suffering from a health condition.

On January 11, Jang Yoon Ju attended the premiere of her movie Citizen Of A Kind. Citizen Of A Kind follows the story of a housewife who becomes the victim of a voice-phishing scam and her friends who help her track the scammer down.

On this day, Jang Yoon Ju spoke to the press, where she revealed that she was struggling with an illness.

To be honest, I have hypothyroidism, so I am a woman without hormones. I have been taking medicine for the illness for 15 years. Doctors tell me all the time that I shouldn’t be exerting my energy on TV and in movies.

According to the Mayo Clinic, Hypothyroidism is a condition when a person’s thyroid gland doesn’t make enough hormones.

The actress also spoke about how she prepared for her role in the movie.

I thought long and hard about how I wanted to act out Sook Ja’s character. She is very straightforward, and I worked hard so that when I do appear in the movie, it is refreshing for audiences.
