When a fan shared it, the video went viral on TikTok, with 459.9K views at the time of writing. Netizens reacted negatively to the video, calling the fans’ behavior “shameful ” and stating it was “sad” that Jay was not allowed to eat in peace.

Yet, some netizens pointed out that Jay Park appeared not just “unbothered” but actually “happy” about it.

That’s because it was all part of a promotion for his comeback. Jay Park held an Instagram Live while eating kimbap, doing a countdown for his new album, THE ONE YOU WANTED, which was released on October 8.
