Jay Park’s Thoughts On Relationships And Children Become A Hot Topic
Celebrities are often asked their opinions on love and dating out of sheer curiosity because of their status.
Recently, a clip of Jay Park discussing his thoughts on love and children has gone viral compared to his interviewer’s.
The video in question is from an interview nearly five years ago on rapper Dumbfoundead‘s podcast Fun With Dumb. Musicians Parlay Pass and Lyricks were also included in the interview, which was more like a roundtable discussion.
About 16 minutes into the interview, the topic of marriage comes up. Dumbfoundead explains that he has a jaded view of marriage because his parents did not have a good one. Jay asks the other three men if they ever want to settle down in the future and possibly have kids.
Dumbfoundead says that he could see himself having a baby with someone, but not necessarily settling down with them.
When Jay asks if he would want to be in a relationship with the hypothetical someone, Dumbfounddead explains his view, saying that he and that person would be bound together forever anyways. Jay then explains that he does not want a “baby mama,” and would rather have a family with someone who he is settled down with.
Dumbfoundead counters saying that the baby’s mother would be his family regardless of their relationship, to which Jay says that he wouldn’t want to deal with the mother of his child potentially getting in a relationship with someone else and bringing them in.
This part of the video was posted on X, where it gained over 2 million views. Many praised Jay for eloquently explaining his views while dealing others who did not seem to understand where he was coming from.

Jay Park has been, I think, one of the most consistent with having a decent brain within male idols
Ppl just judge him for things he does but If you sit and listen to one of his interviews you will know how great man he is https://t.co/f1gjI9bHKp— Mimi ✨ (@darling_2night) August 31, 2024
This is the type of conversations I was subjected to as the only woman on a shift with 30 men. I used to be so quiet, they’d forget I was even at the table. It was low key traumatizing. It would’ve been nice to have ONE w/ the mindset Jay had here to challenge the ignorance 🥴 https://t.co/fps4nWEFkZ

i think what got me the most about this moment is how jay didn't hesitant even a little bit with stating his opinion, about what he thinks is right, despite being surrounded by those incels lol
not all guys have that kind of backbone you know… https://t.co/SJpOT5CxEd— jessica (@hi_wonjae) August 31, 2024
GOT7’s Jackson Wang was previously praised for handling a similar discussion, which you can read about below.
