Jellyfish Entertainment Gets Caught Faking Viral Social Media Posts For VERIVERY
Viral social media posts are a great way for idols to gain attention from the public. These posts often are pushed out to the general public rather than fans, and can be huge in helping the star gain recognition.
Most of these are organic, such as when NewJeans’ Hanni went viral for her adorable expression when talking about her bleached hair.
One of the most famous OG viral posts was Girl’s Day Hyeri’s iconic aegyo. This 3s moment shot her to fame.
In the recent day and age, where shorts and reels are all the rage, agencies are increasingly trying to force viral posts on their idols. They hire part time workers to create such viral posts, or offer meme social media pages money to create and post a video.
Jellyfish Entertainment was recently caught by netizens for doing the same. They found a Notion page by a worker who had planned out all the different viral postings for VERIVERY. Notion is a commonly used tool for organization. It seems like this particular staff forgot to set it to private.
It seems like they even planned a leak of the group’s music video! The post title was named, “Male idol group that got their MV leaked a day before the comeback.” According to the Notion page, they planned to make the posting on community sites TheQoo and Instiz. They even planned the content of the post, talking about how the official Twitter accidentally posted the MV a day before the comeback.
How fans knew that the page was legit, was from all the other posts in the contents page of the Notion site.
The staff was meticulous in planning out all social media content for the boys. The highlighted posts were viral posting plans for VERIVERY, while the others were simply regular social media plans for the comeback.
Another page showed the contents for a post about the unique cheers fans were taught for VERIVERY’s live performances.
Community Posting:
Title: A male idol group that makes fans do a unique cheer during performances.
Contents: …it’s VERIVERY.
— Planned post
Fans were shocked at the revelation, but took it with a spoonful of humor. Despite the company’s efforts, the group was not seeing the results that fans hoped for.

Hey you, a “viral” post is only “viral” if people care. This is just them trying hard. Please change your post title to “Jellyfish trying hard.”

In this day and age, it is getting harder to tell what things are organic and what are staged, on social media.
