On August 29, Jeonyul appeared in a YouTube video. In the video, the former idol revealed that she has been working at a jewelry store.

The idol spoke about how she had been doing and revealed that she is making ₩10,000 KRW (about $7.58 USD) an hour while working from 10 AM to 10 PM.

I begin working from 10 AM and get off work at 10 PM in the evening. I get paid a little more than ₩10,000 KRW (about $7.58 USD) per hour.

When asked if customers recognized her, the former idol revealed that due to Stellar’s image, Jeonyul stated most didn’t and were surprised when they found out about her former life as an idol.

Jeonyul then revealed that because she was only 20 at the time the group’s popular yet controversial “Marionette” was released, the then-idol did not know how suggestive some of her scenes were.

I didn’t know the scenes were so racy. After the music video was released, a member asked me if I had read the comments and asked me if I knew what the milk scene was suggesting. I learned what it meant after reading the comments.

At the time, because I was so young, I thought they gave me the least controversial scenes, but they gave me the sexiest ones.

At the time of its release, “Marionette” was very controversial because of the members’ outfits and the video’s overall sexy nature. Jeonyul’s scene was particularly controversial due to a scene in which she spills milk onto her body while wearing underwear.

Despite the controversy, the idol agreed that the song had played a big part in pushing them to stardom.

Before the release of Marionette, we only performed at small festivals outside of Seoul and at military bases, but after the song’s release, our schedules were packed months-long with college performances.

Meanwhile, the group debuted in 2011 and enjoyed popularity before the group disbanded in 2018. After disbanding, Junyeol has continued her music career, recently releasing her single “Like It.”
