It was an emotional time.

Jessi is a rapper who has released popular songs such as “NUNU NANA,” “ZOOM,” and more. She was previously under Psy‘s label P Nation before moving to—and leavingJay Park‘s More Vision.

Her career was filled with eventful ups and downs, and unfortunately not all of her friends stayed with her throughout it. She opened up about losing many of her friends in a new interview with Eric Nam.

She stated that she expected her friends and colleagues to “be there” for her especially when she was at her peak.

I would say it was definitely the hardest because you’re at you’re most vulnerable right so you but also at your peak. You would think your friends would be there for you or the people that you work with or just whoever would would be there for you.

Instead, they all disappeared from her side. She was open about how it “really sucks” especially because she would not do the same if she were in their shoes.

But they all disappear, you know? And they turn their back on you and it sucks it. It really sucks because you know I would never do that you know.

Jessi has experienced being the kind of friend who is always there for others even if she isn’t in a stable place herself. This is why it was so painful when the people she trusted left her.

This is not a brag, this is not something to be like proud of, but this is how I know that I’m a good person: when I go through sh*t and I’m crying all day and my friend calls me right and she’s having a problem, I will sit there and tell her how to fix the problem. I would throw all my problems away to help her with when she has no idea what I’m going through.
