Would Jessi Date Within The Industry? The Veteran Soloist Gets Real About Looking For Love
Dumbfoundead, a Los Angeles-based rapper and actor, brought his popular Fun With Dumb podcast to Seoul, where he caught up with veteran soloist Jessi.
In her first sit-down interview since the conclusion of Jessi’s Showterview, the talk show she hosted from 2020-2022, she opened up about her career moves, daily life, and her quest to find love.
With the changes in her life, frequent performances, and tough decisions she’s been presented with, Jessi confessed that she’s been “burnt out.”
I’m kind of burnt out, to be honest, because I’ve been doing a lot of shows and switching companies- and having so many different decisions, and stuff like that.

After many trying years, Jessi is with a new company that gives her the freedom to do more of the work she wants to do.
Jessi shared that she’s been taking time lately to figure out her life.
I think it was last year, around the time I was doing the Europe tour, that’s when I completely lost myself. And I lost all my people, everyone f*cked me over, and like— that’s when I realized, ‘Wow, this is the time where I need to really get back into my sense and figure out my life and who my people are and surroundings…’
— Jessi
One thing Jessi has found herself focusing on is finding love, which she hilariously and honestly admitted is not going well.
Listen, I’m f*cking 34 now, I can do whatever the f*ck I want and I’m trying to find love right now… Nothing is going good. Like I said, I’m like a mom without a child right now. Like I want a child, but how can I have a child if I don’t have a man, right? But then, I’m like, I can!

Jessi expressed her wish to have a family, and while she hopes to find a husband to start a family with, she also acknowledged that there are other routes she can take and is looking into freezing her eggs.
She shared that she finds herself at a crossroads of sorts.
There’s a lot of balance right now. Like, am I going to give up the whole love, family, kids— having a family… or am I going to continue pursuing this career right now? So there’s balance.

Dumbfoundead then asked the veteran star what it would look like to date her.
When presented with options like using dating apps, Jessi seemed taken aback by the idea, and when asked if she would date anyone in the industry, she instantly knew her answer.
No, absolutely not. I wouldn’t date anyone in this industry.
— Jessi
Instead, Jessi is looking for someone that she vibes with and who makes a good first impression.
She expressed that she’s not necessarily drawn by looks but wants a masculine man that supports her and that isn’t jealous.
She admits it’s not easy being with her, as she’s an “alpha,” so she’s looking for a man who is “more alpha than [her].”
Jessi shared that she’s dated seven guys in the past, and each relationship was long-term.
Now, she’s looking for a future husband and knows what she wants.
Now I’m in a place where I’m looking for love. If I meet a guy, I’m actually going to try and marry this person rather than just have a little fling with them.
