Jessica’s throws some shade at Girls’ Generation with 1st anniversary since leaving the group
Exactly a year ago today, Girls’ Generation lost a member of their group with the shocking announcement that Jessica would no longer promote with them.
On September 30, 2014, Jessica shockingly announced on her Weibo, “I was excited about our upcoming fan events only to shockingly be informed by my company and 8 others that as of today, I’m no longer a member. I’m devastated – my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG, but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out..”
“You guys are very special people that I love dearly, therefore you deserve to hear the truth from me. I’m deeply saddened and hurt by those who I trusted and hope that you don’t ever have to experience this kind of pain,” she later added.
A year to the day on September 30, 2015, BLANC&ECLARE announced a special coupon its customers can use available for only 24 hours, “JUSTBC” (Just Because).
“One day sale, September 30, for 24 hours. Just because. Cheer up. Code ‘JUSTBC’ on our website only, www.blancgroup.com

After Jessica’s breaking one-sided announcement on her Weibo, SM Entertainment confirmed the news of her leave from the group, revealing that Jessica had wanted to release one more album with the group before officially leaving to focus on her fashion company, BLANC&ECLARE.
However, the agency revealed, “Despite Jessica’s sudden notice, the agency and the Girls’ Generation members tried our best and tried to figure out a way that Girls’ Generation’s activities can continue in the best possible direction. However, in the midst of insufficient clear negotiations regarding conflicts of differences in priorities and interest, Jessica started her fashion business. Due to this, despite ongoing talks, it has come to a point where the team could not be maintained any longer. Thus, the agency had no choice but to pull up Girls’ Generation’s activities as eight members earlier than planned, and in the midst of while working out when to announce this, Jessica had posted her words early this morning.” (Read their full statement here).
On October 1st, Jessica then rebutted their press release with her own formal letter to the media, she shared, “I have always put the activities of Girls’ Generation’s before my business and personal life as a member of Girls’ Generation. However, despite my efforts for the team, the agency asked me to leave [the team],” further revealing that she had already gotten permission from both the group and her agency to start up her own fashion company.
She continued, “However, in early September, only a month following the launching, the members suddenly changed positions and held a meeting, telling me to either quit my business or leave Girls’ Generation without any justifiable reason. […] I have received great pain and cannot hide my sadness when I was asked by the agency and my fellow members, whom I’ve spent 15 years with, putting in all my passion and efforts, to leave Girls’ Generation just because I am starting my own business.” (Read her full statement to the media here).
Since then, Jessica has seen success with her fashion company BLANC&ECLARE and has grown significantly with specialty shops and exclusive retail locations across Asia, including mainland China, South Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Girls’ Generation also began their activities for the first time as an eight-member group with the release of “Catch Me If You Can” in both Korean and Japanese in April, a single that had originally featured Jessica in both the recording and music video. However, official promotions in Korea began in July with the pre-release single PARTY followed by the release of the full studio album LION HEART in August, which was highly successful with 21 music show trophies gained for the album alone (7 for “PARTY” and 14 for “Lion Heart“).
