What Happened To The Restaurant In “Jinny’s Kitchen?” You Won’t Be Able To Visit
While the variety show Jinny’s Kitchen (also known as Seo Jin’s) aired its last episode only about a month ago, the show was filmed winter of last year.
Jinny’s Kitchen, which is a spin-off of Youn’s Kitchen, centers on cast members Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, Park Seo Joon, BTS‘s V, and Choi Woo Shik running their own Korean restaurant in Bacalar, Mexico.
While the restaurant was temporary, as the cast stayed for just a week, many customers enjoyed their experience eating there so much that they thought it was a permanent restaurant. Some customers even returned to eat during the short time Jinny’s Kitchen was open.

Still, even if the Jinny’s Kitchen cast couldn’t stay forever, the location and decor looked so good that perhaps others could take over and run a restaurant there. So, what exactly happened to the restaurant after filming?
An ARMY visited the location in Bacalar and got to see Jinny’s Kitchen in person, or at least what was left of it. In some ways, it was the recognizable restaurant we had seen on TV…
But it was just remnants. It was in the process of being demolished. Yet, there were still many things left from Jinny’s Kitchen, such as the sticky notes that customers left, some decor, posters, and even some shelf-stable food.
The video went viral on TikTok with 28.5K views at the time of writing. ARMYs were shocked to see what had happened to the restaurant afterward.

With so many things left, even after it had started being demolished, ARMYs suggested to the OP (original poster) that they take stuff. The OP had attempted to purchase items, such as the poster, but they weren’t allowed to.
The video was filmed a month ago, so around the time the series ended. According to OP, the location used for Jinny’s Kitchen is connected to a hotel that wanted to expand, so the restaurant was demolished.
Unfortunately, we’ll never be able to go to Jinny’s Kitchen unless there’s a new season in a different location.
