Joo Won Makes Stellar Comeback To Dramaland With Sci-Fi Action Thriller “Alice”
Sci-fi, action, fantasy, thriller, romance, this drama has everything it seems! It even has a perfect cast of veteran actors, Joo Won, as well as Kim Hee Sun!
The last time we saw Joo Won was in 2017’s My Sassy Girl, the drama version, after which he enlisted quietly in the army and was discharged last year in February. Since then, he has not appeared in any piece of work until he was confirmed to star in Alice this year.
He plays a smart detective, Park Jin Gyeom, that meets with a woman that looks like the spitting image of his passed on mother. Jin Gyeom then finds out the woman’s secret – she is a genius physicist that holds the key to time travel. Kim Hee Sun plays the double role of Park Sun Young, Jin Gyeom’s dead mother, as well as Yoon Tae Yi, the time-travelling physicist. They work together to uncover the truth behind Park Sun Young’s wrongful death.
In the freshly released still, Joo Won can be seen at a shooting range, presumably as a detective. It is reported that Joo Won is working hard to pull off the action-packed role.
Alice runs on the 28th of August, and will air every Friday and Saturday at 10pm KST. Many are highly anticipating it as it will be his first return to the small screen in three years.
