Female J-Pop Idol Forced To Post Photos Daily For A Year By Agency
Recently, the story of the punishment a Japanese girl group member was given for having a boyfriend garnered much attention online.
According to the South China Morning Post, KATACOTO*BANK member Momoka Tojo posted a photo on social media celebrating her birthday with her boyfriend last month.
This photo instantly became a hot issue.
She apologized to the fans for causing discomfort.
I truly apologize for my careless behavior, which caused discomfort and damage to the fans and agency representatives. As an idol, I lacked awareness. I will work hard to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Her agency also posted a statement online announcing a punishment for having a boyfriend.
After investigation, it was revealed that the man in the photo was her non-celebrity boyfriend. After much discussion, we decided to think of a way to give her caution as her act was unacceptable as an idol.
The decision the agency came up with was to post a “good night” selfie every night before bed for a year and to keep a distance from her boyfriend.
They also asked fans to report any suspicious activity if they saw it.
If there is a photo that you suspect is of her and her boyfriend, please report it to us.
With this punishment, she is currently posting a selfie of her with the same background every day before bed.
