JYJ’s Junsu Fined 1 Billion Won After Tax Investigation
It has been revealed that JYJ’s Junsu was recently fined a large amount, over ₩1 billion KRW ($826,980 USD).
This fine is expected to be from the National Tax Service’s non-routine investigation on high profile individuals such as celebrities and wealthy businessmen. Actors Han Chae Young and Joo Sang Wook were among the celebrities investigated.
After around 3 months of investigations on Junsu, the National Tax Service fined him around 1 billion KRW due to various reasons, including under-reported income tax. This amount is more than 3 times the amount Han Chae Young and Joo Sang Wook were fined.
Back in April 2019, his agency C-JeS Entertainment stated that Junsu was under a normal tax audit, but that was not the truth in the end. The National Tax Service focused on his tax records from January 2017 to December 2018, and the reason could be how he sold his Toscana Hotel for more than ₩3 billion KRW in profits.
