JYP Entertainment Accused Of Sabotaging TWICE’s Dahyun
Fans of TWICE are expressing frustration with JYP Entertainment, accusing the company of neglecting Dahyun‘s promotions for her upcoming acting debut in the Korean remake of You Are the Apple of My Eye.
The outrage comes after concerns arose regarding Dahyun’s attendance at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), where she was expected to appear alongside her cast members.
Supporters of the singer — and soon-to-be actress — are particularly upset after Dahyun’s name was reportedly removed from the film’s talk-to-talk promotional segment at the festival. Fans, including those traveling from overseas, had been planning trips to South Korea specifically to see Dahyun at the event, only to be left uncertain about her participation.
What fueled the discontent further was that Jung Jin Young (Dahyun’s co-star) had his attendance confirmed by his management a day prior, while JYP Entertainment remained silent on Dahyun’s status, despite her being the lead female character in the movie.

Dahyun herself addressed the situation on the fan communication platform Bubble, where she expressed her desire to attend the festival. However, she hinted at potential conflicts with her group’s schedule, which might prevent her from participating in all the festival events.
Fan: Dahyun, are you coming to the Busan International Film Festival???? A lot of fans are planning to go, but we don’t know if you’re coming or not…
Dahyun: I really want to go so badly, I really want to.
Dahyun: But I might not be able to attend all the events… I have a group shoot scheduled…
Fans are now demanding that JYP Entertainment adjust TWICE’s activities so Dahyun can focus on promoting her upcoming film properly. They argue that as the main female lead, she deserves the chance to fully participate in promotional events alongside her cast members.

My thoughts are, most of Dahyun's acting activities, we will not get proper updates and promotions from @JYPETWICE @jypnation because they may reason out that they are not company for actors and actresses. So, embrace yourselves d7. We will need each other for fan efforts.
