JYP Entertainment reveals Wonder Girls completed MV shoot for comeback with Sunmi
After denying speculations that Wonder Girls would be making a comeback, JYP Entertainment has finally put to rest to the rumors.
Just a day after telling OSEN that nothing has been determined in regards to Wonder Girls’ comeback this summer, JYP Entertainment once again approached the Korean media portal, this time confirming their return.
On June 24th, the agency said, “Wonder Girls completed their music video shooting for their new song today in Gyeonggi-do, Namyang-ju. Yoobin, Ye Eun, Hyelim, and Sunmi are planning to make a comeback as a quartet. The comeback is aimed for July.”
When asked about Sunye, who recently returned to Korea to attend a friend’s wedding, and whether she will be part of the comeback activities, the agency replied, “She will not be involved in the activities.”
The last official activities for Wonder Girls as a group was in 2012 with their viral track “Like This.” Following those activities, former member Sohee left the group and JYP Entertainment upon her contract expiration to focus on her acting career. Soon after, Sunye married and had her first child in October 2013.
This comeback will mark Sunmi’s first comeback activities as a Wonder Girls member since leaving the group in 2010.
