JYP Entertainment To Take Legal Action Against People Selling TWICE’s Flight Details

They can be fined or imprisoned.

On January 8, JYP Entertainment released an official statement.

They announced their intent to take legal action against those selling and sharing TWICE‘s flight details.

Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
Recently, in an effort to protect our artists’ safety and privacy, we announced that we are taking fundamental measures against the leaking, selling, or distribution of artists’ flight information.
We are conducting the verification of flight information sales routes in several channels, and we are constantly reviewing the likelihood and level of legal action based on confirmed information.
If personal information is breached due to the illegal leakage and sale of flight information, the Personal Information Protection Act will be violated, and a fine of up to 50 million KRW or imprisonment of up to 5 years can be enacted. The circulation of this information may result in fines of up to 30 million KRW or imprisonment of up to 3 years.
In addition, illegally obtaining information about an artist can be a violation of the Criminal Act, which can result in a fine of up to 15 million won or imprisonment of up to 5 years.
We wish to remind those who continuously cause safety issues at the airport to observe proper behavior.
The airport is a space used by many artists as well as many people, so please observe proper order in the airport so as to avoid inconveniences.
We are also reviewing legal action regarding the violation of these actions.
Thank you.
