Is TWICE “Stronger” Than Stray Kids? J.Y. Park Names JYP Entertainment’s Top Groups

Joon Park thinks so.

Who is the biggest JYP Entertainment artist? JYP himself weighed in.

On the latest episode of g.o.d Joon Park and Fly to the Sky Brian Joo‘s online show BYOB Pocha, J.Y. Park (also known as JYP, Park Jin Young, and The Asian Soul) guested. J.Y. Park, who has always been passionate about connecting the U.S. and Korea, told about how he used to be laughed at for wanting to bring K-Pop to the U.S. Now, just last year, Stray Kids was runner-up behind Taylor Swift for the most sold albums in the U.S.

That’s something we would never imagine 20 years ago and you made it happen.

Brian asked J.Y. Park which artist he considered the “biggest.” J.Y. Park thought for a moment before naming TWICE and Stray Kids.

Brian Joo: I’m curious… Out of all the JYP groups and artists, who was the biggest for JYP as far as profit or popularity? Anything, any category.

J.Y. Park: TWICE and Stray Kids. As far as numbers, those two.

Joon Park gave his opinion, stating that he feels TWICE is still “stronger” than Stray Kids. J.Y. Park didn’t deny it, pointing out that TWICE is selling out stadiums. Yet, he also mentioned DAY6, whose popularity is continuing to rise.

Joon Park: I think TWICE is still pretty stronger than Stray Kids.

J.Y. Park: They’re selling out stadiums. They sold out SoFi.

Brian Joo: Damn! SoFi?

J.Y. Park: Those two are the lead, but now DAY6 is catching up. They’re just selling out every concert right now.

Joon Park: What about album sells? Stray Kids, right?

J.Y. Park: Yeah, number one.

Stray Kids has also begun selling out stadiums, so we will continue to see the rise of JYP Entertainment’s groups.
