Kang Daniel’s KONNECT Entertainment Loses All Their Artists And Is On The Verge Of Shutting Down
KONNECT Entertainment is on the verge of shutting down and all of their artists are leaving or have already left the company, including Kang Daniel himself.
According to an exclusive report from Star News, KONNECT Entertainment’s artists have all decided to leave the company. Yuju, who joined KONNECT Entertainment in September 2021, reportedly ended her time with the company back in mid-April. Dance team WE DEM BOYZ signed with the company in November 2022 but left just one year later, sharing their intentions to terminate their contract in November 2023 and going through the process. Singer and producer Chancellor has also reportedly left the company.
Kang Daniel formed KONNECT Entertainment in June 2019 and serves as the company’s CEO and artist. However, the majority owner of KONNECT Entertainment is an individual who owns a 70% stake in the company. Kang Daniel is currently suing that individual for falsifying documents, embezzling money from the company, and other charges.
Kang Daniel Reports Complaint Against Largest Shareholder Of KONNECT Entertainment
Thus, Kang Daniel is reported to end his contract with KONNECT Entertainment once his contract expires in early June and will also step down from his position as CEO.
Due to this, KONNECT Entertainment will go out of business, as all of their artists will have left. There are also only around 20 employees of the company left and the company’s building in the Sinsa neighborhood of Gangnam has been emptied out.
