Kang Daniel Reports Complaint Against Largest Shareholder Of KONNECT Entertainment
Media outlet YTN reported that Kang Daniel reported a complaint to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on charges of violation of criminal law and fraud.
Kang has filed a complaint against A, his agency’s majority shareholder (about 70%), due to an issue with a ₩10.0 billion KRW (about $7.38 million USD) advance distribution contract.
Kang claimed that he suffered losses as shareholder A stole his identity and stamped the company seal on the advance distribution contract in December 2022.
Previously, Kang Daniel founded KONNECT Entertainment in 2019 and became CEO. With this, it is expected that he will part ways with the agency after his exclusive contract ends with the company next month.
